Plasma Investigations

Characteristics of a gas-filled diode with a plasma ion emitter

Abstract: A kinetic approach is used to study the characteristics of a plane gas-filled diode with a plasma ion emitter over a wide range of parameters. The working material is molecular hydrogen and the electrode material is copper. The mathematical model includes ionization, charge exchange, the interaction with electrodes, and the self-consistent nature of the electric field.
