Abstract: Thermophysical and hydrodynamic processes in a spherical vapor bubble and the surrounding fluid are studied at an increase in the external pressure using the method of numerical simulation. The study was carried out based on a mathematical model belonging to the class of homobaric bubble models (uniform bubble pressure at nonuniform temperature and density). The numerical simulation yielded data on the key characteristics of vapor bubble compressions in water under different initial conditions.
