Determination of the absorption and scattering coefficients of a monodisperse particle mixture

Abstract: The inverse problem for a medium forming a cylindrical volume is solved in the first multiple-scattering approximation. Implicit analytic expressions obtained from the solution of the direct problem are used. The scattering function is approximately represented by an ellipsoid to close the system of equations. The inverse problem is solved by the least squares method with the use of standard programs.
