A new design of falling-weight viscometer and its calculation equation

M. R. Mustafaev

Azerbaijan Technical University, Baku
Abstract: A new design of a falling-weight viscometer is described. A correlation is derived between the viscosity of the substance being investigated, the falling time of the weight, the geometrical size of the viscometer, and the density of the weight and substance, in view of nonstationary motion of the weight and the consumption of energy to change the kinetic energy of the liquid flow.
