Abstract: Based on the results of qualitative analysis, the dynamics of a microlayer of liquid in two steady-state modes of motion of evaporation front propagating in a moderately superheated layer of liquid on a wire are described. Relations are suggested for the calculation of the front velocity depending on the degree of super-heating of liquid and on the heat flux density on the heating surface, as well as the condition of transition from nucleate to explosion boiling.
