Abstract:
The formation and behavior of long-lived microbubbles $50$ to $100\mu$m in size in perfluorotriethylamine are investigated using a pulse-heated wire electrode. The results of optical investigations of the bubble behavior in a strong pulsed electric field up to $800$ kV/cm in intensity demonstrate that the bubbles stretch out in the field direction, contract in the transverse direction, and separate from the electrode. As a rule, the moving separated bubbles flatten.
