Mechanisms of phase exchange under conditions of boiling on surfaces with porous coatings

Abstract: The results are given of experimental investigations of the mechanisms of dryout and rewetting of surfaces with porous coatings in the neighborhood of critical heat transfer. It is demonstrated that the presence of porous coatings brings about a considerable enhancement of the thermal stability of a system owing to the emergence of new mechanisms of phase exchange.
