Application of the Complete Thermochemical Model of Carbon Destruction to the Problem of Destruction of Carbon-Fiber Reinforced Plastic Material under Transient Heating

Abstract:
A solution of the problem of transient heating and destruction of a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) material is presented, which was obtained using the complete thermochemical model of carbon ablation. The results of calculations are compared with the corresponding data for pure carbon material.
