Ribbed Heat Absorbers with Forced-Convection and Combination Cooling

Abstract: Analytical relations are derived for the calculation of the characteristics of ribbed heat absorbers cooled by a flow of liquid or gas delivered into interrib channels. The cases of convective and convective-thermochemical cooling are treated. In the latter case, a catalytic reaction occurs on the rib surface, which proceeds in the diffusion mode with a value of the Lewis number close to unity.
