Abstract: It is demonstrated that the inclusion of the dependence of the tangential stress profile on thermal acceleration of gas flow and some other improvements enable one to significantly extend the capabilities of the classical model of fully developed turbulent flow and heat transfer in tubes and use this model as a simple and fairly reliable means of theoretical prediction of heat transfer and hydraulic drag of gases with varying physical properties.
