Abstract: The paper deals with the problems associated with the dynamics of development of a creeping discharge on the surface of a dielectric plate in a flow of viscous gas. It is demonstrated that conditions exist under which a discharge separates from the substrate surface. The pattern of temperature relaxation in the boundary layer is investigated, and the frequency mode is determined in which the process of separation may be suppressed.
