Calculation of electric arc in longitudinal magnetic field

Abstract: A steady-state three-dimensional mathematical model is used to calculate an electric arc in an external longitudinal magnetic field. A helical shape of arc is obtained in the case of a certain correlation between the external parameters being regulated. The possibility of using the mathematical model for numerical analysis of helical arcs is demonstrated.
