Investigation of supersonic gasdynamic and magnetogasdynamic flow in channels with large-scale irregularities

Abstract:
A study is performed of a supersonic gasdynamic and magnetogasdynamic flow of gas in a channel with large-scale irregularities on the walls. A numerical investigation is performed of two-dimensional and three-dimensional flows using a complete set of Navier-Stokes equations, equation for turbulent viscosity, and quasi-one-dimensional equations of electrodynamics. The effect of irregularities on the fields of gas-dynamic parameters, loss of total pressure, and extracted power in the mode of electrical power generation is determined.
