Control of velocity profiles in a boundary layer

Abstract: The control of average velocity in the turbulent boundary layer of a flat plate is investigated theoretically and experimentally. The control is exercised by injecting jets of air into the incident flow. Interpolation expressions are derived for the distribution of average velocities, dependent on the control parameters.
