A model of turbulent near-wake flow in a glow discharge

Abstract: The flow of nonequilibrium plasma of a glow discharge is treated under conditions characteristic of fast-flow $\mathrm{CO}_2$ lasers. A phenomenological description is made of a large-scale vortex structure of flow in the mode of turbulent flow. The model fits the experimental data obtained for the flow velocity pulsations.
