Abstract: Critical analysis is made of the current status of investigations of heat transfer and skin friction under conditions of unsteady-state turbulent pipe flow. This analysis is based on the experimental data on the structure of turbulent flows and heat transfer. Comparison is made of experimental and theoretical results.
