Heat and Mass Transfer and Physical Gasdynamics

Local similarity conditions of the thermochemical interaction between high-enthalpy gas flows and an indestructible surface

Abstract: The local similarity conditions of a chemically nonequilibrium boundary layer in the vicinity of the stagnation point of a blunt-nosed body in the high-enthalpy gas flow are considered. In this flow area, the temperature and dissociation degree of the flow at the outer border of the boundary layer, as well as the heat fluxes to the surface, as a rule, reach their maximum values.
