The Optimal Thickness of a Cooled Wall with a Coating under Local Pulse-Periodic Heating
A. V. Attetkov, I. K. Volkov, E. S. Tverskaja Bauman Moscow State Technical University
Abstract:
Characteristic features are investigated of the stationary temperature field in a flat isotropic wall with a heat-shielding coating; the wall is cooled by the environment and subjected to a local pulse-periodic thermal effect. The possibility is found of the existence of the optimal thickness of the wall being treated, which provides for the minimal steady-state temperature of the most heated point of the wall.
