Abstract:
The paper presents an experimental study of heat transfer during boiling in a thin horizontal layer of liquid on a capillary-porous coating. A sample of a stainless steel coating was manufactured using additive $3\rm D$ printing technology with selective laser sintering. An inversion of the boiling curve was observed on the coating, which led to a fivefold decrease in temperature difference compared to an uncoated surface. After $350$ h of the test cycle, the heat flux rate at which the boiling curve inversion occurred decreased by a factor of $7$.
