Abstract:
A method is proposed for calculating the proportion of oxidizing components from the heating flow that reach the surface of a coked layer. Estimates are presented for the thermal effects of homogeneous reactions of the oxidizing components from the heating flow $(\rm H_2\rm O$ and $\rm CO_2)$ with active components of rubberlike thermal protection pyrolysis products (methane and ethylene) and heterogeneous reactions with carbon of the coked layer of the thermal protection coating. It has been established that these reactions are accompanied by a significant endothermic effect. The effect of homogeneous reactions in the boundary layer on heterogeneous reactions with carbon in the coked layer of a rubberlike heat-protective coating is estimated.
