Heat transfer study of a droplet accelerated by air flow along a solid body surface in the aircraft icing problem
V. Zhbanov, A. L. Stasenko, O. D. Tokarev Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute
Abstract:
The paper presents the experimental studies results confirming the developed physicomathematical model of temperature evolution of supercooled water droplets accelerated by the airflow along the wing model surface. The developed numerical code allows to predict places where droplets freeze to the surface and the onset of the ice formation.
