Abstract: The results of an experimental study of the average coefficient of linear expansion of zirconium carbide in the temperature range $1200$$2850$ K are presented. Samples of silicon carbide were prepared by the method of spark plasma sintering of zirconium carbide powder from nano sized particles at a temperature of $2100$ K.
