Anomalously high emission of a thermionic cathode in an arc discharge in inert-gas media

Abstract: The emission characteristics of a tungsten cathode in various inert gases were studied. Analysis of the processes taking place on the cathode surface indicated an anomalously high emission capacity of the cathode in the class of arc discharges studied.
