Abstract: Investigations were conducted in order to secure approximate computing relationships between the plasma temperature and pressure, the electrical energy introduced, and the geometry of the discharge channel. The work is based on the idea of a quasi-steady-state condition of the discharge with the evaporating wall. The calculated values of the parameters are in excellent agreement with experiment over a wide range of temperatures and pressures.
