Electron distribution function of air plasma produced by a beam of fast electrons

Abstract: Nonequilibrium plasma of air produced by a beam of fast electrons is theoretically investigated. By means of a proposed modification of the Monte Carlo method, the distribution of the energy losses by the electron beam with respect to various channels is obtained. An estimation of the emissivity of air plasma is obtained. A comparison with the experiment and with the calculation by the difference method is made.
