Thermophysical Properties of Materials

Formulation of kinetic equations for chemically reacting gases

E. G. Kolesnichenko

Lomonosov Moscow State University, Institute of Mechanics
Abstract: The article gives a brief discussion of problems arising with the derivation and formulation of kinetic equations for chemically reacting gases. It is remarked that, for an adequate description of the kinetics of chemical reactions of monatomic molecules, in such equations metastable bound states of the particles must be taken into consideration.
