Abstract: The article is concerned with the analysis of the ergodic properties of a stochastic operator which defines a Markov chain with stationary transition probabilities on a semifield. Some conditions are given for the existence of invariant measure for a stochastic operator on the semifield of Borel functions on a metric space.
