Abstract: The paper deals with current status and perspectives of municipal wastes management and monitoring system for Leningrad oblast. Covered some aspects of wastes transport logistics, determination of most suitable places for new landfills allocation constrained by ecological requirements, usage of crowdsourcing data for identification of illegal waste dumps.
