Abstract: Informatics rise and development, state and future prospects are considered hereby. Particular emphasis is given to informatics' history in Russia and St. Petersburg. Informatics development prospects are linked with forming a new stage in correlations between science and technology and processes of informatics natural evolution as well as with its interdisciplinary interaction with cybernetics.
