Current algebra and the nonlinear $\sigma$-model

Abstract:
We present the current algebra of a particular form in the nonlinear
$\sigma$-model. The algebra has a non-Abelian form with field-dependent
structure functions. We comment on the connection of the model with
noncommutative space.
