Abstract:
An electron–phonon model of a superconductor with structurally unstable lattice is considered. The structural transition is described by an exactly solvable model, which allows the influence of the critical fluctuations near the structural transition on the effective electron–electron attraction to be investigated. It is shown that the critical fluctuations can strongly influence the magnitude of the isotopic effect.
