Abstract:
Dependence of the diffusion coefficient of a massive particle in one-dimensional
perfect gas on the particle mass is studied by numerical methods. It is shown that the
lower bound for the diffusion coefficient found in [1, 2] is exact. Moreover, the application
of the Pirson criterion shows that the limiting distribution of the heavy particle
with high level of valuability is not gaussian.
