Influence of the break in the differential cross section on the profile function

Abstract: The structure in the elastic scattering amplitude due to the influence of the break in the differential cross section is studied as a function of the impact parameter. Exact and approximate expressions are obtained for the correction term. Numerical calculations have been made for $pp$ interactions at 1500 GeV.
