Kinetic theory of a moderately dense gas

Abstract: Kinetic equation for a system of hard balls is derived on the basis of the first pair of the BBGKY equations. Behaviour of long-wave (hydrodynamical) perturbations for large time values is investigated. It is shown that the time asymptotics of hydrodynamical modes is that of the exponential and power type.
