Exact solution for linear quadrupole model of ising type

V. A. Dobrovol'skii, A. R. Kessel
References:
Abstract: The Green's function method is used to obtain an exact solution for a linear system of particles that have angular momentum unity and interact with nearest neighbors through the diagonal part of the quadrupole-quadrupole interaction operator. Exact expressions are found for the energy, order parameter, and some of the correlation functions in the whole range of temperatures.
