Theory of the motion of an excess electron interacting with optical phonons in a one-dimensional molecular lattice

Abstract:
The effects of inertia and dispersion of optical oscillations of an two-atom molecular lattice on the electron motion is studied. The dependence of the autolocalised states of the electron on its velocity is investigated.
