Gravitational field of radiating systems twisting free type II metrics

Abstract: A general twisting free type II solution is found to the Einstein equations with radiation described by the energy-momentum tensor 8πTμν=Φlμlν (lμlμ=0, lμ is the principal null direction of the Weyl tensor). The solution contains one arbitrary function of three variables. The possibility of using the above energy-momentum tensor to describe highfrequency radiation is discussed.
