Abstract:
Expressions are obtained for the response of the Josephson tunnel current to an acoustic perturbation in the linear and quadratic approximations in the displacement vector. They used to determine the effective and maximal Josephson currents and the dissipative tunnel current induced by sound. The damping of ultrasonic waves as they pass through the tunnel barrier is considered.
