Abstract:
The interaction of a nonrelativistic particle with a scalar quantum field in one-dimensional space is investigated by Bogolyubov's method. In the case of strong coupling, expressions are obtained for the energy spectrum and amplitude of scattering on a dressed particle to the zeroth order in the coupling constant.
