Abstract:
For a system of arbitrarily fast charged particles, equations of motion are obtained in Lagrangian form that do not contain field variables and use a universal laboratory time for all the particles. The example of a two-body system shows that the equations of motion contain terms describing an advanced interaction, although the Lagrange function of the system contains only retarded potentials.
