Kinetic equations for moderately dense polyatomic gases
L. A. Pal'tsev
Abstract:
Bogolyubov's method is used to derive kinetic equations for spatially inhomogeneous polyatomic gases. These equations determine the evolution in time of the different single-particle
matrix functions in accordance with different conditions of correlation weakening for polyatomic gases. Expressions are obtained for the local binary and ternary collision integrals
with allowance for identity and degeneracy of the internal states of the molecules; corrections
are also obtained for the local integrals in the approximation of binary collisions and these
take into account the spatial inhomogeneity of the gas.
