Abstract:
Exciton-phonon interaction in one-dimensional molecular crystals is investigated.
In the framework of the model restricted by the harmonic approximation for the
phonon subsystem and linear approximation for the coefficients of the exciton subsystem,
the quantities characterising the influence of exciton excitations on the phonon subsystem
as well as quantities characterising the influence of oscillations on properties of the
exciton subsystem are calculated. Qualitative agreement of the results of calculations
with the results obtained by Davydov and Kisluha (A. S. Davydov, N. I. Kisluha. Phys.
Stat. Sol. (b), 59, 465, 1973) in the particular case of taking into account the excitonphonon
interaction (M′=0ξ=ζ=0) is proved.
