Nonrelativistic model of the interaction of a scalar particle with a quantized field

Abstract: The nonrelativistic model of a system consisting of a scalar particle and a quantized field with strong coupling is investigated. It is shown that particle-like solutions do exist. The logarithmically divergent part of the self-energy of the system is separated out. The momentum conservation law is taken into account rigorously.
