Basic equations of the quasiparticle-phonon model of the nucleus

Abstract:
A derivation is given in general form of the system of basic equations of the quasiparticle-phonon model for even-even spherical nuclei, and the transition is made to the approximate system of equations used in numerical calculations. The
possibility of summing a large class of diagrams in the quasiparticle-phonon
model is illustrated. It is shown that the model has considerable possibilities for
more detailed description of the nuclear characteristics at intermediate and high
excitation energies.
