Peculiar features of relativistic particle evolution in classical scalar field theory
A. A. Vlasov M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University
Abstract:
The interaction between point particles in the model of classical scalar field with linear coupling with the source possesses the following interesting features: particles attract at a large distance and repulse at a small distance; the velocities of the particles in evolution reach the speed of light; in the frontal collision of two identical particles can arise the effect of “release”: due to the squeesing of the walls of the effective potential hole of particle interaction the kinetic energy of particles grows so that at last particles jump out from the potential hole.
