Abstract: The equation ϕt=ϵ2Δϕ+H2(x,y)sinϕ is considered arising in liquid crystal physics. The kink formation and motion are studied. The relaxation times are calculated. It is shown that there are possible connected kink states. Parameters of these states are found for small ϵ.
