The influence of transport phenomena on two-dimensional cellular structure of hydrogen-air mixture detonation
D. I. Kuzovlev, V. V. Markov Steklov Mathematical Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract:
The study investigates the flow of a hydrogen-air mixture in a flat two-dimensional channel. As part of the numerical investigation, 3 series of experiments were conducted, in which the gas flow is described by: 1) Euler equations 2) Navier-Stokes equations with slip boundary condition and 3) Navier-Stokes equations with no-slip boundary condition. In each series, the experiments differ only in channel width, while all other model parameters remain fixed. The influence of flow viscosity and other transport effects on the cellular structure and characteristic size of the detonation cell is investigated.
