Abstract:
Brief information is given about the 48th International S. B. Stechkin's Workshop-Conference on Function Theory dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Professor V. V. Arestov, held in Kyshtym, Chelyabinsk region in face-to-face and remote formats from August 1 to 10, 2023. A list of the conference talks is given.
Keywords:function theory, best approximation of functions and operators, approximation methods, extremal problems, splines, wavelets, navigation over geodesic fields, geometric problems of approximation theory, numerical analysis.
The conference was organized as a part of the research carried out at the Ural Mathematical Center and supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (agreement no. 075-02-2023-913).
