Computing experiment with mathematical model of type 1 diabetes

Abstract: For the mathematical model of type 1 diabetes that simulates the glucose-insulin interaction in the patient's body (Hovorka model), a mathematical description of food intake is proposed, taking into account the time, duration, and weight of carbohydrate food ingested. Changes over time of the main variables characterizing the patient are presented in the form of a system of ten ordinary differential equations. The results of the computational experiment are presented in graphical form.
