Abstract: Distributed systems have lately gained wide popularity because of their numerous advantages. The main advantages are significant increase in the volume of stored and processed data, and processing speed. Such achievements were gained by implementing special ways of system applications functioning within these systems. This work is devoted to the key features and differences in system applications in distributed file systems.
